Ethereum’s switch to proof-of-stake is scheduled for mid-September. How does it work compared to Bitcoin’s proof-of-work consensus? What are the possible flaws and risk factors?
So much to chew on here. And such a great balance to Arthur’s latest couple pieces around ETH and the merge. Wherever you come out, seeing it from different angles is incredibly helpful. Thanks - this one was pure fire.
Great read. I agree. I'm a fan of Eth to use and play around with, but it's too political and complex in code to be used at the sovereign level or to be the bedrock of a new financial system. When you add complexity to money I believe you create systemic problems. Just look at what all the fancy deriv's did to the credit market.
This was fire. Proper and constructive critique.
